· Carrying out Conveyancing- lawyers carry out the transfer of deeds from one hand to another. This can be a mortgage deed or some other real estate deed. In fact sometime ago, British lawyers generated almost half of their income through Conveyancing.

· Sheltering intellectual property- They purvey the intellectual properties which may include patents, industrial designs and trademarks.

· Making legal recommendations- they suggest the legal route for all the associated problems.
